Started this today, sanded to 120 grit, smoothing these inner cuts are harder than they look, may put in the bead comp if finished in time.

Thanks Jim & Helene, this style is popular in jade, never seen it carved in rhodonite, I think it suits the red, must be very careful not to fracture, not as tough as good jade, will be a challenge to polish, is a bit crystally but I like a challenge, I think the crystals look better.

I know this is going to sound silly but I thought that band saws had a continuos blade. How did you get the blade on the inside of that rock. Thanx in advance..

Thanks for the great comments, the outer was cut with a band saw and the inner with a ring saw that has a separating blade, read this.
