Here we go with the best sterling and mixed metal pieces I've completed in this 2011 year.............
This was a birthday gift for one of my Grand Daughters - Tinkerbell assembled using sterling, copper and brass......

And of course just for Sara here is the gecko broach - sterling overlayed on copper overlayed on a sterling backing.........Three layers deep...........

This rose broach is composed of a sterling rose overlayed on brass, overlayed on copper for the leaves and finally a sterling backing. The oxidation color for the leaves was done by selectively heating the copper after polishing................Four layers deep.........

Another tri-metal broach is the classic icon Betty Boop - copper bow overlayed on a sterling backing overlayed on the sterling face, face and brass ear loop on a sterling backing..........Four layers deep................

I drew this design from a National Geographic photo of an Amazonian frog sitting on a man's thumb. The sterling frog is overlayed on copper for the eye, overlayed on a sterling backing; the arm and 3 hands overlayed on a copper thumb nail and the frog. The frog is done in a fine satin finish and the nail is high polished with oxidation accomplished by torching to change colors................Five layers deep................

This all sterling piece I did for myself to wear on my sport coats. It's a Cheshire Cat design I used to have on a T-shirt many years ago. Four layers deep with several different gauges used for depth................

And this one is an idea I had for a pair of barre/plug earrings for one of my customers. She has a 5/8" ear hole and since the lobe is pliable I designed and completed a diamond shape with four wires through the edge and a sterling bead in the center............

Final piece is a belt buckle of Bertha...............Five layers deep - sterling roses on copper overlayed on sterling face backing, overlayed on the copper rose buds overlayed on the buckle backing. Different gauges were used for perception of depths.....................
I need to learn how to re-size my photos............D'Oh..................
