I think your work is great. Its great info for all of us cause I sure can use the help. I find myself getting a piece finished and rushing the polishing part. I need to take more time with it. Mike has some good tips.
The biggest thing I feel is to push myself to try more complex things. Practice, practice, practice.

Pssst, Sara, a little secret.  i don't even use my best stone for jewelry or cabs.  I just display and hide away the best stuff.  You are seeing mostly seconds or instances where i have 3 or 4 slabs of something.  I am still uneasy about working on really special stone and would just be heart broken if something rare and beautiful disintegrated in my hands.  That's the main reason i always try to buy at least 3 or 4 slabs of stone that i really like.

Well, my job has been killin my hobby.  I started getting really busy with work and having less and less time.  Because of summer, we also had so much more stuff to do on weekends like clean up things, so i had less time.  The last couple of weeks i started cabbing a little again but haven't gotten back to silver.  My last silver project was going great before i got busy.  Then i bought some tiny drills so i could drill holes in a bezel, i instantly broke 3 out of the 4 of them and they were $24 a set.  So i stopped working on my really cool piece and really need to get back to it.  One day soon, winter is just around the corner.
