Dave and I took a little trip today... rockhounding. Went north to Gateway, East thru Roaring River State park, then NE into Missouri, Over Table Rock Lake, to the outskirts of Branson then back South into Arkansas.  Turned off the highway and wound up here....

OMG!  Talk about Hoarders!!!!  What a Mess,  But back in the Verrrrryyyyyyy back of this quonset hut was the remains of a long closed up ROCK SHOP...   Don't know yet what all we got.
Know there is Brazilians, Botswana, Pet wood, crystals and much much more....

Amazing....what you find when you look.  Like garage sales ... if you don't go you won't find anything .... just amazing.  Would it be polite if I asked about what you had to pay for all that ??

Miaita I didnt know you were coming over I would have cleaned up a little.
Dang what a marvelous adventure and thats enough rock to keep you out of trouble for a few weeks.

Gary,  was a kind of strange story, a local radio station has one of those "call in with what you want to sell" programs early in the morning, and this man called in and said he had "Rocks for sale" .   I Called him and it turned out that his Parents ran a rock shop that they had closed 20 years ago.  They had put the rocks in storage in this quanset hut and except for the occasional visit, the stuff had not been touched since.  You could hardly see the rocks for all the garbage.  The father was a hoarder/inventor.  The son wants to clean it up and sell it, So we figure we paid about .50 a pound.

Wow, that is wonderful.  Looks like your rockhounding trip was a resounding success.  I'm usually a day late and a dollar short to sales like that so it's good to know someone who got to take advantage of it.  Good for you.
