NWAGMS is having our annual spring show this coming weekend, April 2nd and 3rd. If anyone is interested in stopping by, it is at the community building in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
It is a small show by many standards, but we have had tables sold out since b4 Christmas. To accomodate more dealers, we have rented the park behind the building, so we will have a bigger variety of wares for sale. (I am always hoping for some new rough to show up.) This is always so much fun, seeing old friends and making new friends.
Will post pix afterwards!

Well, our spring show is history. Probably record crowds, 1st nice weekend for the last 3 weeks.
Inside and outside!

Charlotte's table.

And I have to apologize to Mia, as the pix I took of her setup were horribly out of focus.
(Am guessing, the camera was set on close up mode)

I was the backdoor bouncer and general gofer, so I got to visit with many.
Nancie, Rockmanken, and so many others too numerous to count!

Sara, are you talking about rocks? Then it would be the wavelite.
Actually, all the people and kids interested in rocks!

Dave I think you were supposed to say, "Seeing my lovely bride running around like a crazy person."   (Being show chair and having a booth is too much fun for anyone.)

She did, and the key word there was "running". That means the new knees are doing good!

Charlotte, I was more than impressed with the show set-up.
The turnout was great.
Can't believe Dave didn't get a close -up of your table.  Charlotte had some stunning (and swanky) pieces and Dave had several of his beautiful knives.
Mia and I split a box of wavellite, however I don't know what to do with it.
I hope it was profitable for all.

I had made a deal with myself to only buy afew specific rocks, if available....yea right.  Came home with lots of rocks and nothing on my list.

I call this 'feeding the addiction".  LOL

Sounds like good times were had by all~ excellent!  Do you two organize this show every year?  I mean, like, are you the founders, for lack of a better term?

So that's what Arkansas looks like...

Charlotte was the show chairman this year, and we have only been with the club 5 years.
The club was founded in the seventies, and we still have a couple of the founding members in the club.

It really is a fun show.  I can say that now since it is all over.  The show has been going on for several years and each year it gets better and better.  I decided to take it up a notch this year by renting the park and having outdoor activities.  I think it helped, people could hear the music and smell the burgers and they stopped to see what was going on.  The kids all love the gem wash and the flint knaping.  We also had Keocut geode cracking going on in another tent.  I sold alot and I think all of the other vendors had near record sales too.   I am heading out today for a show in Little Rock.  These two shows are a little to close for me, and then an evening show next week.  Thank goodness I have two great friends joining me.
