Just got an email from ColorWright (www.greatrough.com) with a special promotion (5% off orders of $50 or more) until March 15.  You have to use Promo Code R3/15 when you order on the web or mention it if you order by phone.  In the What's New part of the email, he has Charoite rough.  Here's the link:

http://www.greatrough.com/rough_charoite.shtml

Also Eudialite rough:  http://www.greatrough.com/rough_eudialite.shtml

Both are a little too rich for my blood, but it's fun to drool over them.    walker

I dont want to buy these stones I want to go to Russia and be wearing a fur coat and hat made from sable or (fake sable if it offends anyone for me to say that) and to jump into a horse drawn sleigh driven by Omar Sharif to the charoite mine he bought me for my birthday.
Thats what I want:)

They are not doing themselves any  favors with the dry pics.  Both the Charoite and Eudialyte look to me to be low quality.  I have both types of slabs and my dry pics would probably be better than the wet pics of either of those.  I would have to guess that the really good material is gone and they are scraping the bottom of the barrel, but still charging a price for higher quality stone.  I see the same thing with Sugilite all the time.  There are dealers selling Sugilite that is gray to almost black, with maybe the slightest tint of a really light purple.  Now don't get me wrong, the dealers bought the Sugilite as it was probably all that was available (except for the good stuff with an astronomical price).  They then sell it as it was represented to them.  Heck, some of them probably have never seen really good gemmy "Gel" Sugilite.  My problem is when the dealers know its crap quality and still sell it for a high price, hoping to sucker in some unsuspecting neophyte.
