Greetings all,

Here is something I am working on for my dad for Christmas.

Lapis Lazuli and Mahogany Obsidian.

The color combination is so beautiful, the seams look perfect, it's going to be a gorgeous cab. Cannot wait to see the finished piece.
Good luck with the polishing, none of the materials you put in that cab are easy to polish, at least for me.

Ok, here is the finished product. The Lapis is really porous so the finish isn't as good as I would like, but I am not sure, short of coating it with epoxy and repolishing it, of how to correct the issue.

The pics really don't show this well, but you will get the idea.

Yes, this is a Bolo.

It looks very good as a bolo, the cab has a masculine character.  Great job on the final shaping and polishing.

Here is a question for you all, and keep in mind that I made this as a gift for my dad so it is not for sale. That having been said, what should I price a piece like this??? The diameter is dollar sized.

With the cost of Lapidary stuff going up all the time, I find that I may need to start selling some of my finished stuff so I can afford to keep my hobby but have no idea how to price things.

Not a very good answer, but I say price it where you are comfortable.
