Hi everyone!

I finished a triplet these days. It wasn't meant to be a triplet, but it ended like that.

When in Munchen, I bought an Ethiopian fire opal to make a pendant to Ina for her birthday. When I started to grind it, I realized there's no fire in it except the natural broken surface, so I had to add a back to make it doublet to thiner the opal. But when I wanted to polish the thin opal layer, I realized it's pretty crumble, so I added a top layer made of golden rutilated quartz from Brasil.

The fire in the opal is not first class (it was much nicer on the natural surface)  but still there is some; you can see it better here:

Nice triplet. The wood makes a much more interesting back, especially when it can be seen and is not covered with silver.
