Here's my itty bitty work space surrounded by assorted material:

My daughter helping me do work:

And the stash!
The piles in cabinets:

On shelves:

On piled into buckets and bins:

And in the side yard:

Thanks for looking,
Lowell

I'd like to see the rocks in the bin in the fifth picture called "lead Pipe". I've never seen any of this type of rock!
Lots of neat rocks. Clutter is irrelevant! Rocks are relevant.

Hey Bob -

I don't know how much you know about the location so I'll just be a boring instructor:

Lead Pipe Springs is located on Fort Irwin now and is closed.  It is a blue chalcedony/thunderegg site that evidently puts the Hauser Beds to shame.  I was able to grab a small box of the thundereggs from the backyard of a friend who was moving.  He had been there years ago, the last time it had been opened to the public.
He let me have the material since I showed such a fascination with them.  All of the ones I've cut or received cut have amethyst inside.

Here's my current pics that I have on file.  I'll try to add better lit ones later, if still desired:
Not the best lit:

Looks like I only have one pic.

Hope this helps.

sure  gives new meaning to lead pipe. To think of so many rocks out there that are now off limits to collectors.

Lowell, being a sort of newbie I just found this subject and your stache with your helper.
It's downright awful to have so much. Two box's of Bruneau Jasper, my tongue is hanging all the way to the floor. I even stepped on it and that's all I can say for now.......

I have had (she grew up but has been replaced by 3 more) a little helper like yours and you can't get along without them.  yippie yippie
