late 1800`s trade beads

I dug these on a site south of me, this was an area very close to the coast and was used as a trading area near a settlement. A freind of mine did the research and located the site and when we dug a good sized hole that produced most of the beads we cleaned one side of the wall and just like digging old bottle dumps, we see an huge U shape with stain and charcoal and beads, what records he did locate tell that the post was attacked by the Seminoles during one of their many uprisings, 1850-1870-`s was the approximate time period.

I know some of these beads look like the seed beads you can buy from Walmart but I assure you they are not, I have included in the pics some of the metal or aluminium crosses or balls we found melted with the beads stuck to them, some of the balls would open up to for ma cross, very cool. Some nice chevron beads and glass beads were dug up here also

These are pretty cool Jeff.. I did a quick Google and found similar beads. I bet the silver pieces were for some of their clothing.
