How about some silver onyx from the Calico Mts., Ca.

And the ever popular Woodward Ranch.

Graveyard Point plume before and after photos. The rough had a lot of pits and such so I had to make a doublet. I used Basanite for the backing. It brought out the plumes a lot.

I have some red and black plume from the famous Woodward Ranch near Alpine, TX. They still have a website up showing that they are open for collecting. I have wanted to go there for years and have heard that there are other ranches in the area which allow collecting.

Some of us are going to a variety of ranches in west Texas with Teri Smith next month.  Woodward is no longer available, but the Walker Ranch next door is on our list.

Adding a couple to the thread... Eagle Rock and Hay Creek plumes...  Both from Crook County Oregon.
