Was in a rock art store over the weekend and saw this.  Not even sure if I like it, but curious is this a common type of art sold?

Mixed Media is very hot art these days. Not sure how hot that piece is but some people paid millions for soup cans they called art????? To each his own.

Decided to show this to some of my artsy friends. A couple of MFA's among them.

It only elicited yawns. I don't think we need a jury for this one. All the above comments are correct.

This stuff is trending at all the art shows I've participated in. I've even seen it get "best of show".  I'm not a fan.
