I just got my table top all set up for cabbing. I have been having to borrow a friends equipment at his house and its an hr drive to do that! So I finally got really good deals on some equipment! I Got a 14" Lortone Chop Saw for $150 and a polishing unit with 6 wheels for the same price! I picked up a little trim saw for $100 yesterday. So for now I feel like I got what I need and for only around 500 not too bad!

Congratulations! Looks like you got a great deal on all of your equipment, and to get it all at once is great. I got all mine one at a time and most of it needed serious work. You are really lucky!

Thanks guys! I cant wait to go get more material out here in the desert.  My Jeep radiator took a dump on me so I gotta save up hopefully in two weeks to get another one. The swap is more difficult then normal the way this model is set up though so its a day job for that. It already looks like we are going to hit 100 degrees next week! So it looks like I gotta get into the mines to stay cool!

Wuuuuuuuuuuuoooooooooooowwwww I LOVE that chop saw! Geez the blade is worth what you paid probably - damn why can't I find deals like this!?

Nice job, you paid less than I paid for almost any given single piece of equipment with maybe two exceptions and you probably have twice the quality - sweet! yes

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

My first saw was a used 14" drop saw probably 13 years ago. It is a work horse and the clamp is great for odd shaped rocks. I raised the cutting height and put a small piece of plywood where the saw blade lands to protect it from landing on metal.  Good luck gem.quest
