Great pictures Daniel and what a cute daughter.  Are you teaching her to work with rocks yet?  I am again trying to get my daughter and sons interested in working with rocks and away from the computer and games.  I keep telling my daughter about all the great jewelry we / she can make, but it hasn't sunk in yet.

I'll take a couple of those large purple and blue chunks of rough from out in the yard.  Just kidding.  I would love to lay all my stuff out, but i don't have enough room for that, so i have to box it up and can only keep a little bit out to look at.

Thanks for the tour Daneil!!!
what a great shop; and it looks like you are doing your best to keep the dust down yes yes I like the way you have made and set up your equipment. The climate there could probably bury your rock piles in greenery pretty fast I bet; probably a battle to keep it at bay :<))
Yes, the family sure keeps us in mind of what counts in life; it looks like you are enjoying what you do too.

Daniel:

Thank you so much for a tour of your world. You have so much space and so many rocks! I assume that you are selling your finished stones professionally since you have two assistants. What are you selling, do you make jewelry with them yourself or sell to jewelers? It looks like you have a very efficient shop and I am envious.

I'm intrigued by the photo showing polishing with diamond powder; you are doing this by hand? What is the paper that they are being rubbed on and do you use oil or water or anything else?

Man, do you ever have alot of rocks! I don't see how you choose what to work on next! Your daughter is beautiful; maybe you can get her interested in carving; you are so good at it maybe she will inherit your talent. I try to teach anyone I can to carve, it is becoming such a lost art.

Thank you again; you have a beautiful daughter, home and shop.

Yikes,..... If I ever get down there, just roaming your shop and yard will need a week of holiday.  crackthewhip saved2 And all that before even considering going on a trip with you. hugs32

Nice set-up you have got there, and just look at that rightfully proud Babak or should that be Ahya. chuckle

Thanks to all my friends.....

Mark...i haven't teach my doughter yet but sure i will...only if she want it. Cutting rocks/ lapidary and smithing is good activities for youngster i'm sure....there is a lot of time consume and creativity process also phisical works in rockhounding...i think it is a perfect to build a self reliance and avoid any not good influence around our life ura

Lloyd...yes i'm for my little family, work hard for them and i like my lapidary and smithing works....i still can't showing my smithing works because a bunch of good reasons yes

Debbie....I'm used to work by custom order from my friends, they are professional jewelry designers, i also sell my roughs, cabs or carving. Right now i'm contracted by my best friend who invest a lot for all my rocks. I'm also a pro smithing.... yes
About polishing with paper....that is my method to do a great polish on a cab....it is tracing paper with baby oil and diamond powder...i did it when i need a maximum shine.... ura
