Hi, This is the best piece of Mississippi Peanut Butter Brickle stone I have ever seen.I have been told that this quality rough , with the dark hematite matrix is quite rare. This stone is wonderful , fun to cut and it just jumps out at you visually. It has missing pebbles and voids in the hematite matrix which are not a visual problem for me (so does Hell's Canyon petrified wood) but I would keep it far away from oxide polishes. Thanks to the forum member who broke into her private stash for this one.If you go to  "Hello from Washington " (under Introductions)you can see the piece of rough this was cut from. The  face drilled hole is 4mm. and to provide a bit of creative flexibility to the person who receives this stone I drilled a 2.5 mm. hole directly down from the top to intersect the 4mm. hole.

You are absolutely halarious!   roar roar roar

That's twice today I've laughed till tears rolled.  Seriously though great job and thanks for letting me see how the rough cut and polished.  Since this is the only rough I've seen in this area that is lapidary quality, it's good that it has Mississippi in the name.  I look for this stuff while I'm walking my dog down these winding country gravel roads, of course with bare feet.   If anyone wants to try cutting Mississippi Peanut Butter Brickle Stone let me know and I'd be happy to send you some.

I like it! Helene I would like to play with some!  It looks like it could make for some interesting cabs, not to mention jewelry too!

Here is a new stone.  Dead Elk Canyon agate.  Named after the treacherous canyon it's found.  It's a solid stone easy to cut and polish.   My picture does not give this stone it's due.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to cut this stone.

Nice Helene - I like the red in that  yes

Frank - I'm mixed on the brickle - still getting over the fact that it looks like little vegetables fruit slices.
