I'm about as goofy for agate as I am for obsidian. Also I wanted to get one or two larger agates for my burnisher experimenting. I have a local supplier that gives me killer deals (scary killer deals - can't be my cologne, I don't wear cologne...  dunno ) but they're indisposed for awhile so I thought I'd try somewhere else.

Here's where the dart landed:

Agate Beach

And here's what I got, and while I know the true verdict will be at the other end of a wet saw (I've always wanted to say that!  yes ) I'm just curious: I paid $150.00 for 25lbs @ $6/lb, got 5lbs free (thanks for that Mike!): How'd I do?

Warning to the over-excitable crowd - this is pretty much a dry-read (wait 'til I cut 'em tho...)

Agate is my favorite thing to cut (my does not agree but does so anyway because it's a giving sort of creature; always trying to make me happy). No matter how they look on the outside you never know what on earth you're going to find on the inside.

I'm hoping to get some larger burnishing material cut from some of it. I have a few other larger pieces in my stash waiting to be cut as well. Can't wait!

Thanks for that, BTW - sometimes I feel kinda like a dork posting things like this (how could a normal person get so excited by a bunch of rocks. You make me feel like we're rock-kin.

Thank you Sara <3

Normal? For me we who are creative are the normal ones, it's the rest of them out there that are weird  for sure.
