Happy Mother's day from the Pacific Northwest. This picture is from our collecting trip last weekend , we collected on the mountain next to this one as the bottom of this mountain , in Darrington Washington , is literally in peoples backyards.

Darrington is an interesting place to visit , it's quite famous for the annual Bluegrass festival  and is surrounded by mountains , big rivers  and jade of course.

That is pretty high. The mountain in the picture is 3250 meters high at the top and the bottom is about  230 meters. I live about 20 meters above sea level on an island and the ocean here is always very cold , never above 8 celsius , which keeps the air here cold all year.Have a nice day, Frank

Snow on mountains is indeed a beautiful site but its kinda like looking at a lion to me.
I prefer to look at it behind glass or from a long ways away:)

Frank -- another nice picture and hope you found some good jade.  Thanks for the Happy Mother's  Day.  I had an art show this weekend and am so exausted, my feet hurt and have to drive back to Jackson early, early in the morning.  Other than that Life is really good!

I'm emotional tonight so everyone on this Gemstone Community Forum - Love You All!

Sara, Sara...................We have pretty mountains, but not screaming twisting winds to take you away like the young lady with the red shoes. Oh! We also have very nice rock.

I agree you have beautiful rocks and the one Cardiac Hill slab you sent me is one of the best.
Reminds me of an ocean in middle of a storm:)
