O.k here we go rose quartz from texas springs. Our first trip this year was to our thunderegg hole. Our grand daughter went with us on this one so we ended up with some tiny eggs. But we had agreat time. The next weekend just Gaylene and I got to go. We went way back in the middle of nowhere to find these rocks. Then this weekend we got to go out with some freinds of ours and found these rocks. Some real nice stuff this time. Hope you all enjoy looking at them. Dan F.

Nice stuff! We went out there last year. Dug around and didn't get much, but we had fun. Any advice on the best area to dig in? We'd like to go again. My wife helps with the fourth graders and they really liked the small limb casts that we gave them from the small pink mountain. Probably gave away a hundred or more of the little guys. Need to get more of them for next years classes. Regards, jeff

I agree with Helene - It looks like porcelain quality with no fractures, which is hard to find stone especially that colorful.

Thanks everyone. All these come from places within 50 miles of our place. I knew of these places just didn't think much of gathering them up. Until a friend ask me if I would be interested in a rock saw. Know I can't stop gathering and cutting rocks. Boy my wife and I are hooked.

Wow those are some really great finds. I love that rose quartz. Oh why didn't I collect rocks when I lived in Texas, might have kept me out of trouble....lol.

Actually texas springs rose quartz-or is it pink limb cast. I have heard it called both. Where we dig it is in northern nevada. Just a little ways away from Jackpot Nevada. It is a really nice place to go they have trees there, which is more than I can say for alot of other places we dig in Nevada.
