Thanks to David and Mick I was able to salvage the fish hook. I thought I would bust the hook while ura drilling bail hole. Using a small ball drill and a larger one for flaring.

Great Jack, i can see your passion to carve on this hook. Jack...i'm learning someways to make a hole in slab related to carving, beading, simple pendant....I have a question, how long you took to made a hole with ball diamond bit?

I have one of these that's a bit more stylized carved from black horn.  I bought it through FMG.
However your Jade one is just exceptional and totally blows any of the carved hooks I've seen right out of the water.  Awesome!  ura ura ura

Thanks all for the comments, it took about 30 min using my Turbo Carver with the water attachment. It probably would have been a lot faster using a Foredom or Dremil that has more torque than my carver. Now that my hole problem was solved I will finish  the sanding and polishing. Enchanta, I would like to see the black horn piece for new ideas.
