Don that is simply outrageously beautiful.
Just love it.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments
Much appreciated.
I am almost back to normal and the energy and stamina is coming back.
Life is getting much better.

Thanks Cal,
It's getting late here and I was in such a hurry in getting my cab entered I negelected, gosh I'm so slow doing this computer thing, to comment on your cab. Outstanding material you have this time tooooooo and I really love the shape and polish.

Glad to hear you are getting back to you old self again. These last two Killer Cab entries are showing the artistic qualities are really coming out so you have to be feeling better.........Wonderful

Don thats an incredible cab you have got there.

I usually love cabs that scream strong color,
but here you got such a nice calming color variation,
and you created an incredible balance with the layout,
that I think I should be more open to the possibilities regarding to softer colors..

As always, love your work Don.

P.s.: Will not answer any questions on the forum or comment after this post until I catch up with a project especially reserved for the upcoming 2222th. post. Which is the next one! LOL

Don, I've never been a big fan of crazy lace agate, but that cabachon makes me rethink my prejudices.  I think it is because of the way you contrasted intricate detailed areas with an plainer section, it gives the swirly patterns more impact.  I really think you brought out the best qualities in this rough.

It is so exciting to see just how the KCC is progressing.  Such a great and enjoyable way to see how people bring their vision for a raw piece of rock to something remarkable.

Kurt, never a slip in your high standards and this cab stands out for the selection of shape and use of the slab all the way through the finished polish revealing the treasure of the cab.

Cal, just the same as Kurt, fully using the material and the workmanship is just outstanding.  B E A Utiful.

Don, I am a HUGE fan of Crazy Lace and Laguna Lace, but the way you finished this out just WOWs the belief I have in this material.  Amazing piece with a dazzling shine.

Drooling with anticipation of the rest of the entries.

hat last contest was fantastic so let's do it again

My entry for this round is Purple Chalcedony from Indonesia.
The cab shape was determined by the slab
This stuff polishes like glass.
Hope you enjoy
Very nice cab Cal and good workmanship, very nice material that you used, so nice and large purple area, those quality quiet rare now in Indonesia it's called "kecubung jarong" usually those are has only small part of purple, mixed with white, brown, yellow, grey and red.     yes

I'm in with another crazy lace agate this go round but it is more pastels in color. The size is 2 1/4" X 1  1/8"....

Don

I always like agate, especially the one that rich of beautifull patern an colour. I followed your cabs Don, it's very beautifull, you have a high sense of art to compose a patern in your cabs.   yes

Excellent work, Daniel!  That material creates a surreal scene....I'm not sure of what, but surreal it is.  Maybe a pair of red suns in a clouded sky???

Very very very nice.   I like the way you decided on a very simple form to enhance starburst quality of this cab.
