Ive heard of Belvade but dont think i ever seen a piece done before. That is excellent looking stuff!  yes  yes Too bad one cant go out and find more of it. Oregon is a great place for diversity in material. I believe my club is going to be doing a trip down there this summer as well as one to the Owhee region.....CANT WAIT!

Great, so I'm not the only one who sees it.  lol

Thanks everyone, now get going, we need to get to new record highs.

16 entries at the  last KCC and I think 58 votes are the numbers to beat.

Wow Kurt! Have seen similar west Texas moss specimens. You should see some of the red plume in a clearish agate.

hat last contest was fantastic so let's do it again

My entry for this round is Purple Chalcedony from Indonesia.
The cab shape was determined by the slab
This stuff polishes like glass.
Hope you enjoy

Nice material.   Is this the first time you worked this purple chalcedony  from Indonesia?  I am very drawn to the form and the material you used.  I would love to see this stone in person.

Don that is simply outrageously beautiful.
Just love it.

To answer your question Helene, Yes I have cut a few cabs with it.
It is very nice to work. Not too hard but hard enough.
I guess I should have been more explicit than that. Sorry.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments
Much appreciated.
I am almost back to normal and the energy and stamina is coming back.
Life is getting much better.
