Hello All! I've been working with rocks since the fall and am finding myself wandering into the world of cabbing. I really enjoy it and have found myself developing a "bucket list" from this hobby. Someday I would like to open a part time online business with all of these cabs that are beginning to overwhelm my thoughts. Another "someday" I would really like to go to Quartzite! Still not sure about jewelry making because I really get lost in the stones when I'm working them, but we will see. Anyway, I'm here to learn and look forward to meeting everyone on the forum!
Cathy

Hi,If the stones have that much of a hold as they do for myself and a group of friends you should consider making beads or pendants .Check out Holeystones lapidary and David Van Horst ( DVH Designs on facebook and ebay) as well as Outof our Mines for examples. Not an easy way to go but with the proper marketing skills and an eye for what your customers must have It can be done.Good luck.

Hi Cathy,
Welcome from another Newbie, I started lapidary about 3 years ago and it is all consuming. You will love a trip to Quartzsite, it is like a 2 month long rock swap meet, you will buy much more than you intend to.
I love it.

Hi Cathy, welcome to the group. I am from the Berkshires and just got back from 3 days of Aflac school in Albany. The traffic over that way is crazy. Enjoy the forum.
