I have been having the problem with the blade in my 18" saw veering off every single time after getting into the cut about 2 or 3 inches. By the time it reached 4 or 5 inches it would veer off so far that the blade would hit a guard.

The other day I thought would be a good idea to turn the blade around. Had heard it was a good idea to do from time to time.

That is all I did. Now that saw runs true for any length I want to cut! It's great ! Like a whole new world.
