Here's a dryhead agate cab i just finished. It was a cheapie ebay slab, with fun patterns and took a great polish!

I had a whole different idea for the shape of this cab, but the slab already had it's mind made up on how this cab was going to turn out. Their was some fracturing that was really hiding from me.. By the time I got a preform from the area I wanted it was obvious the shape was already somewhat predestined.. Had never had Oolite with yellow. This even has a little pink in it too. So was just shooting to get a cab that showed all the colors.

Nice cab George, love the yellow. That seems unusual to me too.
My cab for the contest is not going well. Lost the main cab preform. Spent hours looking for it. Had another whose pointy end broke off. Had another of the lost one's material, and it has a big fracture. Others are not turning out well either. Bad cabbing day. Hope the slabbing is going better. Left it running an hour ago, hope it hasn't exploded on me. Better go check. Then Chinese for the lunch, yummy.

Beautiful cabs Ralph..
Mary Ann,
Next trip out to give him a break from bondage.. Ask which of the two will be the contest piece. I assume the triangular shaped one.. At least that is my favorite..
Then you may want to remove which ever is not going to be entered so when we vote folks know which one to use.
Nice cabs, and the colors are outstanding !
