Ok...

Looks like it is just the seven of us !

First prize is the 50.00 either in cash, certificate of choice (Rio etc..), or from my store. Also 1/3 of Bobs Montana Agate slabs.

Second place is 30.00 cash, certificate of choice (Rio etc..) or from my store. Also 1/3 of Bobs Montana Agate slabs.

Third place is 15.00 cash, certificate of choice (Rio etc..) or from my store. Also 1/3 of Bobs Montana Agate slabs.

Also will send a variety of mixed slabs to each as well..

Not a huge pot, but hey...., lets get after it !!  Grin

I just placed an order with Rio yesterday for a few things.
Have picked out the mineral am going to use, and have changed my mind 100 times on what I am going to make !
Finally settled into a sketch I did last night.. Think I got it now !

Hi

Just a friendly reminder that today is the last day to get your entry fee in.

I've been away for a little while and just came back to realise I missed the deadline.... Shocked!
Is it too late, or can I still sneak in?

Howdy......Got started on my entry yesterday. George I am sorry about Montana slab pics. I will post them here later today. Strange but I don't think my entry is going to fit my drawing. I am always worried about how I am going to hang a piece when it is done. So I started with the neck-piece first and the pendant is evolving to fit. Sort of working backwards toward the concept. Guess we'll see how close I come when it is finished............Bob

Sounds great Bob.. Thank you  Smiley

Been working on mine little at a time.. Have the backings cut out, and one of the cabs done. Got my order from Rio so have some new bezel tapes might try.

Thinking will have the rest of the cabs done later today..

George, I know there are a lot of us very excited to see the entries! I am already expecting so great motivation from them.

I was wondering if any of the entrants would mind if they took the time to photograph the work as it progresses. I know I would be interested. Perhaps a separate thread so the finished ones can stand alone together. Just a thought...

I've started on my design for my entry. I'm having trouble deciding what stone to use as the accent stone....Lapis? .....Idocrase?.....Carnelian?.....Gem Silica?Huh???

Yes, that is a part of each entry. We will all be taking some progressive pics throughout ..

Thanks, George, I guess I should have paid a little better attention to the contest!!!! Grin

Bob, I would go with the lapis for two reasons. First would be the color difference, a wonderful contrast. Second would be lapis is not transparent like the other stone and again creates a contrast.  Just my thoughts...

Hi Bobby:

I would go with the carnelian - the colour is gorgeous and it compliments your main stone really nicely.
