Sweet Philip..

That mineral is spectacular.. I have not lucked out yet during the auctions where it was offered.

Remember...... If possible try to include a pic of the original slab, preform or whatever stages of the cabbing process for the cab entries.

It has really been a lot of fun to see how each of us decide upon a particular area off the slab, what made us decide to orientate and shape the cabs.. It's really the funnest part of these contests  Smiley

OK. I don't have actual pic of the slab this one came from. But, I do have a pic of the next slab or sister slab which was the very next cut.  Wet and Dry. Close enough Smiley

Brad - I really like that finished cab.  You know it's funny but I think we tend to buy what we're attracted to rough wise.  I would never have thought of buying that rough, wouldn't have interested me in the slightest, but I have to say - love that cab.  It has a very Japanese feel to it.  You guys are making me re-think my rough purchases - gotta start thinking outta the box!

Jenn

Jenn,

Thanks, found this rough in the Owyhee Mountains in Oregon.  You never know what you find until you open it up.  Thanks for the encouraging words.
