Friday I was supposed to help DeeAnn make a ring. We measured and cut the silver out. Cleaned and got the pieces ready to solder. Opened the valves on the tanks and NO oxygen. The tank is full, I pulled off the flashback arrestor- nogo. My favorite old Craftsman regulator  just seems to have frozen. I love these valves! The oxygen will adjust down to about 1# pressure. Sears wants 220.00 for a replacement!!! And I have not figured out how to get it rebuilt yet. I bought a cheap rebuilt victor on ebay for 31.00 and am pretty sure it won't kick in till 3-5 lbs pressure. Does anyone know where I can get a Sears Craftsman regulator rebuilt? Internet searches have not been encouraging.....Bob

Most welding supply places will rebuild gas regulators. Whether they can do a Craftsman, I'm not sure. You can call them first to see.

I buy all of my welding supplies and equipment at a company called AirGas. They have rebuilt my nitrogen regulator for me and it was very reasonable. I agree, call your local welding gas suppliers and see what they can do for you.

Good advice. Just have to decide which direction will be local this week. I used to deal with Liquid Air in Missoula but I am going to Helena Thursday. I sure miss Craftsman Lifetime Guarantee!   Bob

As far as it says craftsman it does not matter. it is made by victor or uniweld or some other company and jus has a crsftsman lable on it like my polan chain saw that says  craftsman. most all of their tools are made and relabled
kenmore is whirlpool and so on.
But if you want to but new stick with either victor or smith.
