I am new to Ganoksin, and finding it very interesting. Lots and lots of educational information.

I did sign up and create a blog within the Network Blogging Community, and also receiving daily forum entries, although I am not yet sure how to respond to individual forum posts. It's a different set up. You receive a daily log of postings to the forum. I am waiting for a response about how to post responses to a specific forum posting.

It is a lot different but interesting just the same.

I have been a daily reader of the Ganoksin forum for a number of years and I find it very informative and helpful. It is focused primarily to the professional bench jeweler but lapidary issues do come up from time  to time. They have a tremendous archive on a wide variety of jewelry related subjects. I have only posted a couple times and it has been a while so I don't recall exactly how I did it. There are a lot of newbie questions that arise and you get very thorough responses, though sometimes they may conflict because it seems that many people have found different and successful ways to accomplish the same thing. You have to find the best way from all of the possibilities that work for you and the equipment that you have or are planning to get. My only complaint about the site is that some subjects get flogged to death and they may go on for days or weeks (shall I say ad nauseum?).

I don't really think will be posting much to the forum. Not really keen on the way it is set up. That's just me....

I am finding the blogging community network very interesting though. Some good blogs related to silver/metal smithing. I am just now bidding on my first stakes on eBay, and ordered a hammer !    Not a lot to start off with, but I am going to be forming some silver here real soon !

I joined the Ganoksin group also, and I agree with you about how it is set up. Just does not feel very user friendly, but of course, I admit I have a short attention span when dealing with websites!
