Where would someone find the 24" laps to go with this?
I like the idea of the larger diameter for sure. The slower RPM and a greater surface area.

just a thought, you would use diamond paste on a suitable backing, also loose grit for coarse grinding, like they did in tho ol days.

I think some of the old timers used silicon carbide on burlap. Could probably mix it with grizzly fat to make it stick and add a little lubrication :  Bob

I checked with Rio Grande and they don't stock grizzly fat...suggestions?

We here in the south use lard,I wonder if that is related to our massive heart problems down here,, that is pretty grizzly.
